Inclusion Training

June 29th – 30th 2022

hosted by Grenoble INP UGA

The IDEM project organized a highly successful Inclusion training in Grenoble, bringing together staff members and students from partner institutions. The training, held on 29-30 June 2022 at the Grenoble Institute of Engineering and Management, witnessed active participation from 30 attendees. The event embraced a dynamic format that blended group work and theoretical workshops, fostering an interactive, bottom-up, and friendly learning environment.

The training aimed to achieve three main objectives:

  • Raising awareness to facilitate inclusion in international exchange programs for underrepresented students.
  • Promoting effective communication and collaboration among different stakeholders.
  • Employing the Universal Design Thinking methodology to design an inclusive mobility model.

The outcomes of the training were highly valuable, generating insightful ideas and recommendations to enhance inclusivity and tackle barriers faced by students in mobility programs. The collaborative efforts of the participants proved instrumental in identifying key areas for improvement and devising practical solutions. The significance of cooperation, access to information, and supportive services in advancing awareness and advocating for structural changes emerged prominently.

Moving forward, the results and ideas from the training will play a vital role in guiding the IDEM project’s trajectory, particularly in the development of a mobility model tailored to students confronting structural challenges. By achieving these milestones, the project takes substantial strides towards fostering a more inclusive environment within international student exchange programs.
